Canada’s CRTC approved Telelatino Network applications for three newly available regional Spanish language TV channels, operated by U.S.-based Hemisphere Media Group.  The channels Telvisión Dominicana, Centroamerica TV and WAPA America provide news, entertainment and sports programming from the Dominican Republic, Central America and Puerto Rico, respectively. Canadian baseball fans might be interested in sports programming from the DR: six players on the Toronto Blue Jays starting lineup were born on the island, an MLB record.
