The inaugural TV Sports Awards took place last night at the Yacht Club de Monaco. Eurosport emerged as the top winner, taking home awards for Best Sports Broadcaster, while CEO Peter Hutton was named Media Executive of the Year. Eurosport’s parent company, Discovery, won the Best TV Rights Deal award for its agreement with the IOC for pan-European rights to the 2012 Olympic Games. The event, co-organized by SPORTEL and charity Play for Change, will support the organization that helps underserved youth.
