We’ve now come to the end of the world-famous upfront week, in which the U.S. broadcast networks announce their new season line-ups. Now that all the networks — ABC, CBS, CW, FOX and NBC have announced their pick-ups, we can see some real trends — comic book characters are back, and the shorter-form “event series” is becoming more and more popular.
